Civil Engineer (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Act as the civil engineering subject matter expert across utility-scale infrastructure projects.
• Lead technical reviews of earthworks, drainage, access roads, foundations, cable routes, and site infrastructure.
• Review EPC, consultant, and contractor drawings, calculations, reports, specifications, and design changes.
• Provide civil engineering input throughout development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Support site teams with inspections, quality checks, ground-condition issues, punch-list close-out, and as-built validation.
• Interface with EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, independent engineers, and internal development, construction, and asset management teams.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of civil engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or renewable projects.
• Strong experience with utility-scale solar PV, wind, BESS, or large infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of earthworks, drainage design, roads, foundations, underground services, constructability, site logistics, and ground engineering.
• Experience reviewing civil engineering drawings, designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Ability to critically assess and challenge EPC and consultant design outputs.
• Strong understanding of UK civil engineering standards, safety, and compliance requirements.
