Sr. Engineer, AI - AI Detection and Response (AIDR) (Hybrid)

Location: Redmond, Washington, USA; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week on-site.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect and deliver scalable AI detection and response features.
• Research, compare, prototype, and implement production-quality AI solutions.
• Design and present architectures, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions.
• Build high-performance, testable code with unit and functional tests.
• Develop dashboards to monitor feature efficacy and production performance.
• Explain solutions to broader audiences and customers when needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of combined experience as a cloud application developer.
• 4+ years of experience implementing generative AI applications and features.
• Strong experience building AI applications and agents on cloud platforms, especially Azure, Microsoft Copilot, and AI agents.
• Deep knowledge of LLM concepts, including RAG, AI workflows, agentic AI, AI agent frameworks, MCP, and A2A.
• Expert-level knowledge of Go and/or Python, plus moderate-to-expert Kubernetes knowledge.
• Strong understanding of at least two cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity companies or security products.
• Knowledge of the security landscape, especially AI security.
• Expertise with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Autogen, LlamaIndex, LangChain, AWS Agent Core, AI Agent Studio, or Microsoft Copilot Studio.
