Engineering Manager (Liquid Cooling)

What you will do

• Build, lead, and develop a US engineering team of approximately 15 engineers and technicians across mechanical, electrical, controls, testing, production, and documentation.
• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for skidded and modular coolant distribution unit platforms, including the GigaModular CDU family.
• Align product roadmaps and shared architecture with the Global Product Manager and Hong Kong engineering leadership.
• Establish design reviews, documentation standards, engineering processes, and change-control practices for a regulated hardware business.
• Lead customer-facing engineering activities with US hyperscale and colocation customers, including technical reviews, qualification, and escalation support.
• Drive design for manufacturability, product compliance, budgets, headcount planning, and team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex skidded or enclosure-based industrial products.
• Strong knowledge of US manufacturing practices, UL listings, NEC, ASME, and relevant industry codes.
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling an engineering team from a small base.
• Excellent communication skills, including presentations to executive customers and internal leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with coolant distribution units, chiller plants, or large-format data center thermal management systems.
• Experience working across US- and Asia-based engineering teams.
• Familiarity with hyperscale customer qualification processes and direct-to-chip cooling architectures.
