What you will do

• Monitor and report on cloud and AI/ML spend, usage trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
• Maintain tagging, cost allocation, showback, dashboards, and reporting across Project, Environment, Workload, Team, and Cost Center dimensions.
• Track FinOps metrics including cost per token, cost per inference, resource utilization, GPU hours, and API consumption.
• Review billing data across cloud providers and AI platforms, identifying discrepancies, untagged resources, and misallocated costs.
• Partner with IT, platform, Finance, and business teams on rightsizing, reserved capacity, idle resource cleanup, governance, and quarterly reviews.
• Improve FinOps tooling, automation, alerts, runbooks, documentation, licensing tracking, and contract renewal reporting.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in financial analysis, cloud operations, IT finance, or a related analytical role.
• Experience with AI cost and usage data, including platforms such as Anthropic or OpenAI, and billing or cost management tools.
• Knowledge of tagging, showback, chargeback, cost allocation, and cloud or AI usage analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL or similar data-querying technologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Nice to have

• FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or progress toward certification.
• Experience with AI/ML or large language model workload costs, token consumption, GPU utilization, or inference costs.
• Familiarity with CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or Google Cloud Billing.
• Python scripting, cloud governance, budget monitoring, anomaly detection, or Enterprise PMO reporting experience.
