401k Benefits Processing Associate (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $20.67–$24.32 per hour, depending on geographic market, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Review participant and customer account data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and escalate compliance risks.
• Process 401(k) participant distributions accurately and on schedule.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies while maintaining reliable operational and reporting data.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and improve workflow efficiency.
• Learn operational processes, provide day-to-day support, and recommend process improvements.
• Support key projects by completing assigned work on time and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or 401(k) recordkeeping preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and numerical aptitude.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, independently and collaboratively.
• Time management, basic problem-solving, research, and learning skills.
• Willingness to identify and suggest process improvements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Basic reconciliation skills.
