Lead Software Engineer (Gen AI)

Location: Based out of the Chicago, Peoria, or Irving offices in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy generative AI assistants, agents, and software solutions using Python and object-oriented programming.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and deploy cloud infrastructure on AWS using CloudFormation.
• Build FastAPI services and work with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and CrewAI.
• Apply large language models and prompt engineering to production AI solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists to refactor analytics solutions for scalability and production use.
• Support machine learning and AI pipeline development with Apache Airflow.

Requirements

• Experience developing software products and managing the software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of software product design, architecture, technical integration, and testing.
• Strong software development experience with object-oriented programming.
• Experience designing and developing applications in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with Git, collaborative cross-functional development, and technical writing.
• Must be able to work from the Chicago, Peoria, or Irving office location; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, LangGraph, and LangChain.
• Experience deploying software with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Experience with AWS services including SageMaker Studio, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS.
• Experience leading larger and more complex technical projects.
