RF Test Engineer II (Satellite Communications)

Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, USA; onsite and hybrid work arrangements are indicated.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 gross per year.

What you will do

• Design and build RF test benches and fixtures for manual and automated testing.
• Maintain and improve test configurations supporting power amplifier design and production.
• Lead and support Design Verification Testing and provide technical feedback to engineering and design review teams.
• Write, debug, and optimize automated test programs.
• Support operations with RF testing and troubleshooting.
• Create testing processes and documentation for verification, factory acceptance, qualification, and functional testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in RF test engineering.
• Strong knowledge of RF power amplifier testing and measurements, including S-parameters, IMD, harmonics, spurious emissions, P1dB/P3dB, gain compression, noise figure, and ACPR.
• Experience with qualification testing such as vibration, EMI/EMC, and lightning testing, plus the ability to interpret DO-160 standards.
• Experience with LabVIEW for test automation and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills; able to lift up to 10 pounds and sit for extended periods.
