Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer

What you will do

• Operate and support cloud applications and customer deployments across the cloud technology stack.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, elasticity, compute, and storage resources.
• Respond to incidents, provide application-level intervention, and participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
• Maintain patches, updates, system asset records, licenses, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, monitor service-level commitments, and escalate issues to external consultants when required.
• Act as a cloud operations subject matter expert, deputize for the Cloud Operations Manager, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience with both AWS and Microsoft Azure public cloud services.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Linux and/or Windows Server.
• Experience working in a cloud or Software as a Service environment.
• Experience with SQL Server, other database technologies, networking protocols, and LAN/VLAN configurations.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, including incident and problem management.
• Experience serving as a principal subject matter expert, transferring knowledge, supporting colleagues, and documenting work professionally.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-enabled tools for ideation, documentation automation, analytics, or operational efficiency.
• Skills in prompting AI systems and assessing output quality.
