Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Letterkenny, Ireland. Hybrid working with up to two days per week from home, depending on team needs. Up to 30 days per year may be worked from another location worldwide.

What you will do

• Manage the Cloud Platform engineering team as a direct line manager.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop engineers through feedback, performance reviews, and career planning.
• Oversee complex cloud platform projects from requirements analysis through implementation and support.
• Lead the delivery of scalable, secure, efficient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Coordinate with senior technology stakeholders and partners on software releases and product roadmaps.
• Define platform engineering practices, Agile processes, technical guidelines, and resource plans.

Requirements

• At least three years of Cloud Engineering and/or DevOps experience.
• At least three years of direct people management experience with engineering or technical teams.
• Experience with the full employee lifecycle, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
• Experience with Scrum or Kanban Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with Azure DevOps backlogs, Agile practices, high-level solution design, stakeholder management, and Azure FinOps cost optimization.
