ASIC Technical Project Manager (Automotive)

Location: Regensburg, Germany; hybrid and cross-border mobile work possible.

What you will do

• Lead IC R&D teams through the definition, planning, realization, and delivery of automotive-grade ASIC projects.
• Coordinate requirements engineering, architecture, design, verification, IP integration, and tool-support functions.
• Create project plans, manage budgets and work orders, and ensure execution against schedule, cost, quality, and technical targets.
• Monitor project progress, prepare status reports and technical documentation, and report to the Program Manager.
• Manage risks, configuration and change control, including participation in Change Control Board meetings.
• Improve ASIC development processes, templates, review criteria, milestone definitions, and compliance with PLC/MLC, COT/Turn-Key flows, and ISO 26262.

Requirements

• Academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a comparable qualification.
• Long-term experience in ASIC/IC development and technical project management, preferably in the automotive domain.
• Experience with functional safety and FTA, FMEA, and FMEDA processes.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence, and process modelling tools such as ARMS Stages and Confluence.
• Strong background in IC design methodology, analog circuit design, and EDA tools.
• Deep expertise in CMOS analog, digital, and RF technologies, as well as BCD technologies.
• Proven experience in automotive product development and IC design, including the automotive IC development lifecycle, ISO 26262, and PPAP.
• Familiarity with automotive-grade reliability and qualification standards such as AEC-Q100, automotive mission profiles, and environmental stress testing.
• Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and customer-focus skills, with the ability to manage distributed teams across global locations.
