Acoustic Systems Engineer (Automotive Audio)

Location: Garching, Bavaria; Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg; or Karlsbad, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Regular travel to customers and other hirify.global sites is required.

What you will do

• Tune non-branded audio systems for automotive OEM projects across multiple platforms and tools.
• Evaluate sound quality and execute sound tuning in automotive environments.
• Prepare technical requirements, presentations, project documentation, reports, and audit materials.
• Provide technical support and guidance for customer and interdepartmental initiatives.
• Develop and document audio tools and best practices in an international environment.
• Plan and manage customer projects, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and support hardware installation and disassembly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field, or a Tonmeister degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive or consumer audio systems, sound tuning, studio, mixing, recording, or a related audio field.
• Strong knowledge of acoustics, sound reproduction, loudspeaker design, audio system development, and psychoacoustics.
• Hands-on experience with acoustical engineering, transducer engineering, DSP, amplifier engineering, sound-quality evaluation, or recording arts.
• Familiarity with audio tools and product development practices; MATLAB, C, or C++ experience is beneficial.
• Fluent English communication skills, willingness to travel regularly, and a valid driver’s license are required.
