Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy – Product Finance, Cloud & Technology Spend

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a hybrid schedule and office work typically required Tuesday through Thursday.

Salary: CAD 115,500–144,500 annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Own financial reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and planning for Engineering technology spend, primarily cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with Engineering and Cloud FinOps to analyze technical and operational cloud cost drivers and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Support monthly close by preparing accrual estimates, reconciling operational data with actuals, and investigating variances.
• Build financial models and reporting that provide leadership with visibility into spend trends, risks, opportunities, and budget performance.
• Evaluate investments and cost optimization initiatives, quantify financial impact, and support resource allocation decisions.
• Improve recurring finance processes through better data, automation, documentation, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, FinOps, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills for forecasting, planning, variance analysis, and investment decisions.
• Experience managing or supporting budgets, forecasts, or financial reporting for a large or complex spend area.
• Comfort working with large datasets and combining financial, operational, and business metrics.
• Basic SQL proficiency or strong willingness to learn, with an interest in automation and data-driven analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, independent problem-solving ability, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with cloud infrastructure, technology spend, or Cloud FinOps.
• Practical experience applying AI to financial modeling, reporting, or analysis.
