Project Development Lead (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote within Ireland or the United Kingdom, including Dublin and Belfast

What you will do

• Identify, assess, and secure renewable energy opportunities including data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop, carport, ground-mounted, floating, and hybrid solar projects.
• Build and manage relationships with landowners, local authorities, developers, utilities, industrial clients, advisors, and other regional stakeholders.
• Lead project acquisition activities, including due diligence, commercial negotiations, transaction completion, and handover to development and delivery teams.
• Coordinate technical, environmental, regulatory, and grid feasibility assessments with finance, GIS, engineering, legal, and external consultants.
• Manage projects from site selection through permitting and pre-construction, including land agreements, tender preparation, risk assessments, and EPC negotiations.
• Structure PPAs and other financial models with clients and the finance team while maintaining an acquisition pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in power, renewable energy, agronomy, environmental studies, project management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in project development with a successful track record of securing projects.
• Experience in renewable energy and power-sector project or business development.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a multifaceted environment.
• Valid driver's license held for more than one year; regular travel is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Irish renewable energy sector.
• Understanding of local authorities and administrations in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
