Integrations Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote or from Cohere offices in Europe, Canada, or the United States; no minimum in-office requirement. Core time zone or working-hours alignment may apply based on the listed location.

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 for candidates in California, New York, and Washington; $150,000–$190,000 elsewhere in the US; $215,000–$270,000 in Canada.

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrations with external tools and data sources on the North agentic platform.
• Own the integration pipeline from design and implementation through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Enable other engineers to develop integrations and improve engineering standards and processes.
• Create evals and tests to verify integration behavior and detect regressions.
• Tune tool descriptions using feedback and evaluation results to improve agent performance.
• Use AI actively while maintaining responsibility for the quality and reliability of shipped software.

Requirements

• Production software development experience.
• Experience building integrations with external APIs.
• Experience evaluating agentic systems, or familiarity with evals, prompt engineering, and tool-description tuning.
• Ability to execute in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• High agency and experience owning work end to end.
• Interest in helping other engineers succeed and improving the quality of shipped software.
