Research Development Manager

What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of research and innovation strategies with senior academic leadership.
• Build strategic relationships with research funders and monitor their priorities.
• Advise academic staff on funding opportunities and grant applications.
• Communicate funding intelligence and research opportunities across the faculty and university.
• Drive initiatives from faculty research strategies, coordinating with other faculties and central university structures.
• Develop project plans and business cases with relevant colleagues.

Requirements

• Postgraduate or PhD-level education, or equivalent experience, in a relevant scientific subject.
• Substantial experience preparing or evaluating large, complex grant proposals.
• Demonstrated experience increasing research funding.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with senior academic leadership.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software and online tools related to research or bibliometric outputs.
