TL;DR
Research Assistant / Technician 2 (Occupational Health Research): Supporting the development and validation of a youth-centred model of care for opioid agonist treatment across British Columbia with an accent on community presentations, service-provider workshops, and advisory engagement. Focus on reviewing stakeholder feedback, integrating findings into the final care model, and coordinating knowledge translation activities.

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; onsite role

Salary: CAD 27.47–32.68 per hour, approximately CAD 4,395–5,229 per month based on 160 hours.

What you will do

  • Plan community presentations and workshops with service providers across Foundry centres in British Columbia.
  • Develop questions and materials to support dissemination and validation of the youth-centred opioid agonist treatment model.
  • Review feedback from service providers and incorporate findings into the final model of care.
  • Plan and attend youth and family advisory committee meetings with the research team.
  • Support knowledge translation activities and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to research students and peer research assistants in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.

Requirements

  • High school graduation, additional training in a related field, and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or demonstrated compassion working with people with mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, research and analyze information, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize project needs, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to respecting diverse perspectives and developing knowledge and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
