What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, adoption, and business outcomes for a portfolio of connected physical devices.
• Lead the full hardware product lifecycle from discovery and business cases through development, launch, optimization, and end-of-life.
• Develop rugged, software-extensible device platforms integrating sensors, firmware, edge computing, and cloud software.
• Run continuous customer and market discovery, including opportunities in edge AI, computing, and sensing.
• Evaluate product investments using customer insights, technical constraints, supply chain factors, industry standards, margins, unit economics, and P&L objectives.
• Align Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders around product priorities and release plans.

Requirements

• Significant product management experience with autonomy in ambiguous and complex environments.
• Experience managing rugged, outdoor, industrial, or field-deployed hardware products.
• Understanding of environmental ratings, physical interfaces, installation, device longevity, and long hardware refresh cycles.
• Systems-thinking ability across hardware, sensors, firmware, edge computing, and cloud software.
• Strong customer discovery, business case, COGS, margins, unit economics, P&L, and product lifecycle experience.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and awareness of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience working with government agencies, municipalities, enterprise buyers, or organizations with complex procurement processes and extended sales cycles.
