Proposal Technical Writer

Location: Remote; some travel may be required.

What you will do

• Develop technical proposals that meet solicitation requirements and clearly present organizational strengths.
• Translate complex technical information into concise, reader-friendly proposal content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and other teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
• Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, grammar, compliance, and consistent professional tone.
• Research industry trends, client needs, and competitor offerings to strengthen proposal strategy.
• Maintain organized proposal content, templates, and submission records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in technical writing or proposal development within government contracting.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with proposal management tools.
