Senior Principal Software Engineer (C/Linux)

What you will do

• Own engineering for critical functional and architectural areas of the LoadMaster platform.
• Design, implement, and deliver core features and platform components.
• Act as the technical authority for complex subsystems and lead deep problem analysis.
• Improve performance, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead proofs of concept, architectural impact assessments, and cross-team standards.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical guidance to globally distributed teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience delivering complex, high-performance Linux systems.
• Expertise in C systems programming and low-latency TCP/IP networking.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, including networking, memory, and kernel–userspace interaction.
• Experience with profiling, bottleneck analysis, performance optimization, threat modeling, cryptography, and secure design.
• Advanced Bash and Linux tooling, with strong knowledge of CPU, memory, NUMA, and I/O optimization.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading cross-team technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Expertise in authentication, WAF, load balancing, proxy architectures, and TLS.
• Experience with embedded Linux and hardware acceleration.
• Background in distributed systems across cloud or virtualized environments.
• Experience with observability practices for complex systems.
