What you will do
- Define propulsion system architectures for future launcher programs and perform system- and subsystem-level technical trade-offs.
- Establish system requirements, operational concepts, functional breakdowns, and technical budgets covering mass, propellant, inert gas, and power.
- Contribute to development, verification and validation, industrialization, and MAIT planning.
- Own propulsion-related future projects, work packages, bids, and proposal activities.
- Coordinate technical data packages, requirements discrepancy management, and daily work with subcontractors.
- Lead co-engineering sessions with internal teams and external partners, including priorities, decisions, meeting minutes, and action tracking.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of aerospace industry experience, preferably in launch system programs.
- Experience with Phase 0/A/B propulsion system engineering and early development activities.
- Programming experience with Python, Fortran, Matlab, or comparable tools, plus experience with EcosimPro or similar analysis software.
- Hands-on experience in propulsion testing or launch operations.
- Fluent English required; German, French, and Italian are advantageous.
