Manufacturing & Engineering Director (HDD Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima), Thailand. Travel: None.

What you will do

• Provide project status updates to the Senior Management Team and take ownership of program timelines.
• Lead scrap reviews, cost-reduction initiatives, and quality and yield improvement efforts.
• Coordinate site qualification, engineering change approvals, and mechanical supplier qualification activities.
• Integrate program schedules, coordinate Customer Test Unit requirements, and prioritize Special Build Requests.
• Communicate product strategies to capacity planning teams, review financial reports, and monitor product costs.
• Align pre-production build plans with Product Life Cycle Process timelines and drive manufacturing execution, talent development, succession planning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the Hard Disk Drive industry.
• Strong technical background in mechanical supplier qualification for new products.
• Good understanding of process development methodologies and strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, organization, presentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and control project timelines.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.
