Manufacturing & Engineering Director (HDD)

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing and engineering execution, aligning business objectives, product strategies, and production activities.
• Drive cost-reduction, cost-improvement, quality, and yield initiatives.
• Coordinate program schedules, customer test unit requirements, special build requests, and capacity planning.
• Manage site qualification, engineering change qualification approvals, pre-production builds, and product life cycle process timelines.
• Resolve product-related issues with cross-functional teams, including resource allocation, technical support, facilities, and capital investment planning.
• Develop organizational effectiveness through strategic planning, talent development, succession planning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the hard disk drive industry.
• Strong technical background and understanding of mechanical supplier qualification for new products.
• Understanding of process development methodologies and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, conflicting deadlines, project timelines, and status reporting.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
