Software Engineering Manager (Payments)

Location: Bangkok, Thailand; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Lead a team of 6–12 software engineers.
• Own key systems and define an ambitious technology roadmap.
• Partner with Product to define OKRs and day-to-day priorities.
• Drive execution of product and technical goals.
• Coach engineers through continuous improvement and build a high-performance team.
• Collaborate with recruiting to attract engineering talent.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on complex problems.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership, management, architecture, or comparable leadership role.
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL databases, message queues, and other data technologies.
• Ability to query and analyze data to support decision-making.
• Expertise in software architecture and ability to write and review code.
• Experience in agile environments, strong communication skills, and ability to evaluate new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with extremely high-scale distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of security or cryptography.
• Machine learning and big data knowledge.
• Experience building systems in AWS.
