Financial Controls Transformation Lead

What you will do

• Develop and execute the financial controls programme and strategy across the bank.
• Conduct process and control walkthroughs, preparing process and data-flow documentation.
• Identify automation and process-improvement opportunities with the Finance Transformation team.
• Maintain Finance and Treasury risk and control self-assessments in collaboration with the 1LoD Controls team.
• Design, implement, and test controls, overseeing remedial actions for identified gaps.
• Collaborate with second- and third-line teams to align processes and policies with the Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, ideally gained at a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm.
• Post-qualified experience in SOX advisory, internal audit, controls improvement, or transformation.
• Demonstrable experience evaluating, designing, and implementing controls.
• Experience working with IT teams to mature ITGCs and ITACs across multiple applications and dataflows.
• Strong interest in FinTech and experience or interest in banking, financial services, or related control environments.
