Manager, Software Design Engineer (AI) (React/Next.js, TypeScript): Turning AI capabilities into interactive web and mobile-friendly prototypes and MVPs with an accent on user-centered product design, frontend engineering, and AI service integration. Focus on rapidly designing usable AI workflows, streaming interfaces, decision-support tools, and presentation-ready demonstrations for business stakeholders.

What you will do
- Lead the rapid design and development of functional web and mobile-friendly AI proof-of-concepts and minimum viable products.
- Build responsive frontend applications, reusable components, dashboards, interactive workflows, data visualizations, and streaming AI experiences.
- Design user journeys, interactive mock-ups, prototypes, and demonstrations that make complex AI capabilities understandable.
- Define user interactions for AI-generated information, including input collection, result review, recommendations, corrections, and decision-making.
- Integrate AI services, APIs, models, and workflows into user-facing products while balancing accuracy, performance, operating cost, and compliance with HK PDPO and HKIA GL guidelines.
- Work with business stakeholders, end users, AI specialists, and operational staff to discover problems and validate product concepts.
Requirements
- Engineering-related degree and at least 5 years of industry experience.
- Strong experience with React and Next.js, or comparable Vue and Nuxt experience, plus TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with product or design engineering, rapid product development, solutions engineering, innovation consulting, or similar work.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong interface design and functional product prototypes.
- Experience with business stakeholder and end-user collaboration, discovery sessions, design workshops, prototype reviews, or user testing.
- Experience building enterprise applications, internal tools, workflow products, or AI-enabled interfaces.
Nice to have
- Experience in insurance, financial services, fintech, insurtech, or another regulated industry.
- Knowledge of AI application frameworks such as Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Experience with Node.js, Python, lightweight databases, cloud deployment, Docker, and REST API integration.
- Experience presenting products to senior or non-technical stakeholders.
