Application Engineer (AI)

Location: Xiamen, China; the role includes domestic and international travel to customer sites for equipment testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.

What you will do

• Test new technology platforms and complete sorting machines across software, firmware, hardware, optical, and electrical systems.
• Lead test plans, identify system issues, prepare detailed reports, and provide equipment performance indicators.
• Communicate test results to technical specialists and recommend system modifications and improvements.
• Develop and test AI models to optimize application results.
• Support product and tool design and development for target applications.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical field.
• Broad understanding of software, hardware, and mechanical technologies.
• Creativity and willingness to try different methods to achieve objectives.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
• Good spoken and written English skills.
• Availability for domestic and international travel and customer-site support is required.
