Salary: $139,400–$205,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

  • Design mechatronics systems and electrical subsystems for aircraft and ground systems from a blank sheet.
  • Own critical electrical designs for high-reliability, high-power-density converters and fault-tolerant control electronics.
  • Design and bring up circuit boards with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and mixed-signal interfaces.
  • Prototype the complete electrical design of small robotic systems and deploy designs in field and airborne environments.
  • Collaborate with firmware, systems, mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and reliability teams.
  • Debug complex systems and identify issues related to signal integrity, electromagnetic interference, firmware, or mechanical design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing electronics in highly cross-functional environments.
  • Experience designing and bringing up boards with microcontrollers.
  • Experience integrating sensors and actuators and designing mixed-signal circuitry for analog, SPI, CAN, or Ethernet interfaces.
  • Ability to own and prototype the electrical design of a small robotic system.
