Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Define pricing methodology, validation standards, and guardrails for risk premiums across new product categories.
• Own portfolio risk strategy and advise senior leadership on repricing, renegotiation, and program exit decisions.
• Design decision systems that turn loss-ratio monitoring into adopted claims, pricing, and portfolio processes.
• Architect the Risk Analytics data layer using dbt and Snowflake, including models, standards, and the long-term roadmap.
• Mentor Lead and senior data scientists, review high-impact analyses, and raise the function’s technical standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in actuarial pricing, predictive modeling, or related risk analytics, including ownership of methodology or strategy.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python or R, pipeline development, data modeling, dbt, Snowflake, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Streamlit.
• Experience mentoring senior analysts or data scientists and raising a team’s technical bar.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights to C-suite stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Empathy, humility, curiosity, and a business-oriented approach beyond the insurance function.

Nice to have

• Actuarial experience such as ACAS or equivalent examination experience.
• Interest in AI tools such as Claude and Gemini and their practical application to analytics workflows.
