TL;DR

Lead Financial Data Analyst (SQL/Python/AI): Translating large operational datasets into strategic financial frameworks and building automated analytics infrastructure with an accent on FP&A, data pipelines, and SaaS unit economics. Focus on designing financial data warehouses, automating CAC and LTV workflows, improving statistical forecasts, and delivering executive dashboards for complex pricing and corporate development decisions.

Location: Hybrid role based in the Austin, Chicago, Washington, DC, or NYC office; in-office attendance is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 in Austin, Chicago, or Washington, DC; $160,000–$180,000 in NYC, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Data Engineering to design, optimize, and maintain financial data warehouses in Snowflake.
• Define SQL queries and dbt models that transform raw data into clean, audit-ready financial metrics.
• Manage FP&A spend forecast and actuals data in Pigment and optimize spending through AI-driven trend analysis.
• Build automated workflows for CAC, LTV, payback period, IRR, cohort performance, and merchant revenue retention.
• Model the financial impact of pricing, monetization, and international expansion initiatives with Product and Go-to-Market teams.
• Create self-service Looker and HEX dashboards and provide strategic analytics for corporate development and M&A decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of FP&A or Strategic Finance experience at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, HEX, dbt or Airflow, and financial data pipelines.
• High proficiency in Python, including Pandas and NumPy, for financial workflow automation and forecasting.
• Expertise in Looker, HEX, and Pigment reporting layers.
• Advanced knowledge of technology unit economics, including LTV, CAC, payback period, churn, and corporate finance fundamentals.
