Senior Application Support Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with a hybrid model of up to 2 remote days per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Provide application support for critical production systems, maintaining availability and performance.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot incidents, and track issues across distributed environments.
• Perform maintenance, updates, and incident resolution using ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change practices.
• Collaborate with development teams on application architecture and support requirements.
• Use Jenkins and GitLab for deployments and automation, and monitoring tools and job schedulers for system health.
• Implement scripting and preventive measures to automate workflows and improve system stability.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in application support, operations, or a similar role.
• Experience with application support, RUN, and MCO in critical environments.
• Proficiency in .NET and C#, with knowledge of MS SQL Server.
• Understanding of web applications, APIs, relational databases, monitoring tools, and structured problem-solving.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab, and ITIL processes.
• Good spoken and written English, plus an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience with PowerShell, Shell scripting, or Python.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365.
• IT service management or automation certifications.
