Senior Banking Business Analyst – Finance & Data Governance

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with remote work flexibility for up to 2 days per week; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Lead analysis and documentation of requirements for finance and risk data projects.
• Design solutions aligned with BCBS239 and other regulatory standards.
• Support data governance programs focused on compliance, quality, and risk data aggregation.
• Coordinate with technical teams on data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse implementations.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for reporting platforms such as Power BI.
• Analyze and improve core banking systems while supporting data validation and testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting.
• Hands-on experience with BCBS239, regulatory reporting, risk data aggregation, or data governance.
• Experience with ETL tools, data warehouses, and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Avaloq, Temenos, or similar banking core systems.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Certifications in business analysis, data management, or banking compliance.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms or advanced analytics.
