Senior Banking Business Analyst – Finance & Data Governance

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with remote work permitted up to 2 days per week. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements for finance and risk data projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to design solutions aligned with BCBS239 and regulatory standards.
• Support data governance programs focused on compliance, data quality, and risk data management.
• Facilitate data integration, ETL processes, and data warehouse implementations.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for reporting platforms such as Power BI.
• Analyze banking core systems and support the validation and testing of data solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector.
• Strong expertise in finance and accounting.
• Experience with BCBS239, risk data aggregation, regulatory reporting, or data governance programs.
• Experience with ETL tools, data warehouses, or reporting platforms such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Avaloq, Temenos, or similar banking core systems.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Certifications in business analysis, data management, or banking compliance.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms or advanced analytics.
