Engineering Technician, Group Lead

Location: On-site at the Waltham, Massachusetts facility 5 days per week. Working hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Salary: $43–$47 per hour.

What you will do

• Supervise, coordinate, assign, and prioritize daily work for engineering technicians supporting production equipment.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for gantry, dispensing, filling, etching, curing, microscopy, oven, pressing, laminating, and drying systems.
• Coach and train technicians while providing performance feedback and supporting maintenance procedure development.
• Review equipment issues, downtime metrics, reliability indicators, spare parts, tools, and fixtures to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate technical support with equipment manufacturers and collaborate with engineering on tooling, fixtures, programs, processes, documentation, and training.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation and ensure maintenance activities comply with production schedules, SOPs, GMP, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, prioritize workload, and respond efficiently to manufacturing issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Waltham 5 days per week and perform extended standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive physical tasks.
