Senior Mechanical Engineer (Maritime Robotics)

What you will do

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies, fixtures, tooling, and jigs for unmanned surface vessels.
• Review, detail, and manage CAD configurations and create supplier-ready drawings.
• Support vehicle BOMs, production planning, procurement decisions, and supplier communication.
• Evaluate incoming parts, test new and existing vehicle components, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with mechanical and vehicle design leadership to remove bottlenecks and execute engineering plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape engineering processes and timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing high-performance or high-volume parts in a team environment.
• Expertise in SolidWorks and strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, structures, assemblies, fabrication, and DFM trade-offs.
• Experience with CNC milling, 3D printing, waterjet cutting, and other manufacturing processes.
• Maritime experience, including work with ocean-going or maritime systems, plus experience with combustion engines and hybrid systems.
• Experience outsourcing parts to vendors, managing BOMs, creating GD&T drawings, and coordinating with suppliers.
• Independent authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
