What you will do

• Generate concepts and design mechanical systems, product mechanisms, sub-assemblies, and packaging.
• Perform engineering analysis, feasibility studies, design testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and subsystem qualification.
• Select vendors and outsource off-the-shelf components, custom items, and fabricated parts.
• Create models, detailed drawings, diagrams, bills of materials, assembly procedures, and other development-to-production documentation.
• Ensure specifications, schedules, and budgets are met while supporting manufacturing and field service after product release.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams and, depending on level, support project planning, technical presentations, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of design experience.
• Completion of at least two product life cycles from concept to production as a key contributor.
• Demonstrated ability to perform engineering analysis and familiarity with commonly used analysis tools such as FEM.
• Knowledge of machining and fabrication processes for metals and commonly used plastics.
• Experienced user of SolidWorks CAD or an equivalent CAD program.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on ability to assemble, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve design issues.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Design experience with mechanisms, robotics, or automation.
• Experience designing robotics, automation mechanisms, and complex electromechanical products.
• ISO 13485 and FDA/cGMP experience.
