What you will do

• Conduct safety and non-safety certification inspections, audits, and field evaluations against applicable UL requirements.
• Analyze examination and test results, identify noncompliance, and assess whether variations affect continued use of the UL Mark.
• Review manufacturers’ production, inspection, shipping, and quality records, including the accuracy and calibration of measuring equipment.
• Recommend and facilitate corrective actions while discussing test methods, procedures, product variations, and requirements with clients and authorities.
• Use instruments such as micrometers, voltmeters, and ammeters to perform inspections and technical assessments.
• Document findings, test results, schedules, and expenses while applying continuous-improvement methods.

Requirements

• Background in field engineering, compliance, or quality engineering is preferred.
• General electronics knowledge, strong mechanical and technical aptitude, and the ability to read schematic diagrams.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and client-interfacing skills, including conflict resolution and understanding client business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and travel locally and regionally.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Allentown, Pennsylvania area.

Nice to have

• ASQ certification.
• Experience with UL Standards, UL 508A, and industrial control panels.
• Lightning protection experience.
