What you will do

• Serve as the primary company-wide owner and liaison for the UL relationship across all product lines.
• Maintain existing certifications for oil-filled transformers and low-voltage switchgear.
• Lead the end-to-end certification process for new products, from scoping standards to final listing.
• Develop internal processes and playbooks to ensure compliance does not become a bottleneck during scaling.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to ensure designs meet UL requirements early in development.
• Manage UL-related budgets, timelines, and reporting to leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of direct experience managing UL certification cases, factory inspections, and the listing process.
• Deep familiarity with electrical infrastructure standards, including UL 1562, UL 891, and UL 1558.
• Proven track record of leading new products through the full UL certification lifecycle.
• Existing professional relationships with UL representatives and knowledge of their internal operations.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with other certification bodies such as CSA, ETL/Intertek, or IEC.
• Familiarity with medium-voltage and modular/prefabricated equipment standards.
• Background in datacenter infrastructure, HVAC/chiller systems, or modular power equipment.
• Experience in manufacturing or quality assurance environments.
