TL;DR
Human Resources Generalist (HR Operations): Supporting HR operations for Army Continuous Transformation sites across the United States, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and compliance with an accent on DoD documentation, contract requirements, and workforce accountability. Location: Remote within the United States, with travel within the U.S. of up to 75% as required. The role is associated with Huntsville, Alabama, and may involve occasional travel for training, meetings, or mission support.

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Manage hiring, job postings, screening, interviews, orientations, onboarding, and offboarding tracking.
  • Support employees with HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave, timekeeping, and employee relations matters.
  • Conduct fact-finding investigations, exit interviews, conflict resolution, and policy-violation reviews.
  • Maintain confidential personnel records, HR databases, forms, reports, personnel action requests, and audit documentation.
  • Ensure HR processes comply with Army contract requirements, FAR/DFARS clauses, labor laws, EEO guidelines, and DCAA timekeeping requirements.
  • Coordinate training, travel and reimbursement processes, drug screenings, reporting, and daily HR operations with the HR Manager and personnel assistants.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of HR or administrative experience; DoD or military contractor experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, personnel recordkeeping, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and employment regulations including FLSA, EEO, and FMLA.
  • Experience with HRIS or timekeeping systems; Costpoint or Deltek experience is preferred.
  • Strong organization, data-entry accuracy, communication, confidentiality, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to work independently in a remote home-office environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, Real ID, and ability to obtain a Common Access Card and Tier 1/NACI public-trust background eligibility.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DoD or Army HR processes.
  • Experience with travel regulations, per diem, reimbursements, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
