Software Engineer, Frontend (Fintech)

Location: US-based remote work, or hybrid in-office work in Palo Alto, California. Other listed locations include San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle.

Salary: $150,000–$189,000 annual base salary, plus equity and a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design and develop client-facing features using in-house design system components.
• Collaborate with backend and mobile engineers, designers, and product managers on new and existing features.
• Triage and resolve operational issues across mission-critical web systems and services.
• Improve web platform infrastructure, system performance, and developer productivity.
• Participate in technical interviews and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a web-focused engineering role.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript, including ES5+ and native DOM APIs.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience building responsive pages and components with custom CSS, with a focus on page-speed performance.
• Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks such as Express or Django.
• Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product environments.
