What you will do

• Build fast, reliable Python test automation using pytest for unit, API, regression, and reliability coverage.
• Develop Playwright UI tests for internal dashboards and laboratory orchestration interfaces.
• Create hardware-in-the-loop tests across platform software, physical robotics hardware, simulators, and digital-twin systems.
• Define verification and validation processes and test plans that map requirements to coverage across software and hardware boundaries.
• Integrate stable test suites into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and maintain high-quality test signal.
• Build reproducible fixtures and test-data systems that make failures diagnosable, while communicating risks with platform, simulation, and human-factors engineers.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in software testing or QA automation for complex, integrated systems.
• Hands-on Python automation experience with pytest and a modern UI testing framework such as Playwright.
• Experience defining test plans, verification and validation processes, and layer-specific test strategies.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions or a similar platform.
• Ability to test across service, UI, and hardware boundaries, including nondeterministic behavior.
• Strong cross-functional communication and risk-reporting skills.

Nice to have

• Hardware-in-the-loop, robotics, or laboratory automation testing experience.
• Experience testing against simulators or digital-twin environments.
• Experience building test infrastructure, fixtures, reporting, or test-data management for large suites.
• Verification and validation experience in aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Exposure to GAMP 5, FDA CSA, 21 CFR Part 11, or DO-178C.
