What you will do

• Execute end-to-end release validation and manual and automated regression testing on hirify.global robots.
• Triage test failures and contribute new tests to GitLab CI and GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Design and run policy evaluations for learned robot behaviors with reproducible success criteria and results.
• Run evaluations in Gazebo and NVIDIA Isaac Sim alongside physical robot trials, comparing simulation with real-world outcomes.
• Collect release performance and reliability metrics, maintain dashboards, and keep test data clean and consistently labeled.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software test engineering or test automation.
• Strong Python proficiency for scripting and test automation, with the ability to read C++.
• Working knowledge of ROS2 topics, services, and interaction with running robots.
• Comfortable working in Linux and Ubuntu, including terminal use, shell scripting, and basic system administration.
• Methodical and curious approach to identifying edge cases and release risks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, or Unity.
• Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop test benches.
• Basic electrical debugging skills using a multimeter or oscilloscope.
• Awareness of IEC 61508 or ISO 26262 safety-critical standards.
• Experience with CAN, EtherCAT, or Ethernet hardware interfaces.
