System Design Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Translate market and customer requirements into complete system configurations for next-generation inspection tools.
• Develop inspection solutions that improve sensitivity and throughput, and design experiments to validate technical concepts.
• Define system error budgets and translate system requirements into subsystem requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, optical, electronic, software, and other functional teams to support integration and product launches.
• Create and execute prototype test plans for complete systems and complex subsystems.
• Work with customers and manufacturing teams to resolve system issues and support technical development.

Requirements

• PhD with no related experience, master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Deep knowledge of system design, mechanical engineering, platform design, and product development.
• Understanding of optics, imaging, electronics, signal processing, statistical analysis, and simulation.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively across functions, customers, vendors, and cultures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI and deep learning.
• Project management skills including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling.
