TL;DR
Evidence & Impact Analyst - Fall Prevention (evidence synthesis/health economics): Leading systematic evidence reviews and economic evaluations of fall prevention strategies for older adults in British Columbia, with an accent on implementation research, administrative data, and policy translation. Focus on designing implementation studies, analyzing cost-effectiveness and return on investment, and producing evidence for health authority and provincial decision-making.

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 6,270.89–7,175.26 per month

What you will do

  • Conduct systematic searches across library databases, hand searches, citation chains, grey literature, and expert consultations to identify effective fall prevention interventions.
  • Design and analyze implementation studies covering program delivery, staffing, training, and health resource utilization.
  • Manage and analyze large administrative and clinical datasets for a British Columbia cost-of-falls analysis.
  • Perform cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, return-on-investment, and implementation cost analyses.
  • Prepare technical reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, policy briefs, ethics and grant applications, and knowledge translation materials.
  • Consult with researchers, health authorities, policy partners, and patient/public partners while supervising and mentoring research trainees.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline or technical program with at least five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in falls prevention, evidence review, critical appraisal, evidence synthesis, and reference management.
  • Experience with clinical trial data and economic evaluation guidelines such as CHEERS.
  • Ability to use statistical or econometric software such as STATA or R, and Microsoft Word for reports and publications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with academic publications or technical reports preferred.
  • Strong organization, independent judgment, and ability to manage multiple research components simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Health Services, or Science.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and health authorities.
