TL;DR
Associate Clinical Analyst II (Canada) (Genomics/Clinical Diagnostics): Interpreting genetic findings from exome and genome sequencing, reviewing genetic test reports, and supporting variant classification and database curation with an accent on phenotype-genotype correlations and clinical documentation. Focus on investigating genetic disorders, documenting evidence for variant interpretation, and ensuring accurate, clinically relevant results under established quality and regulatory standards.

Location: Fully remote, Canada. Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5pm ET.

Salary: $68.60-$76.97 USD

What you will do

  • Analyze clinical data and manage cases involving genetic findings.
  • Establish phenotype-genotype correlations across genetic disorders and investigate clinical features using professional resources.
  • Review and finalize genetic test reports, interpret variants, and curate internal databases.
  • Perform literature reviews and database searches to support variant interpretation and classification.
  • Document evidence and rationale for variant classification and assist with gene-, variant-, disease-, and test-specific report information.
  • Communicate with clients and ordering providers to support case resolution and provider engagement.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology, Genetics, or a related field, or an MD/DO with more than two years of directly relevant clinical diagnostics experience, including fellowship experience.
  • ABMGG or CCMG certification, equivalent certification in at least one specialty, or board eligibility is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with internal systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Office 365.
  • Ability to work remotely from Canada with reliable high-speed internet.
  • For certified ABMGG/CCMG candidates, clinical consultant responsibilities may include report oversight, provider consultation, and authorization of high-complexity test results under CLIA requirements.
