HFT Core Engineer (Crypto Trading)

Location: Amsterdam; relocation possible

Building proprietary high-frequency trading infrastructure for crypto and traditional financial markets.

What you will do

• Design and implement the core trading engine, including the event loop, scheduling, and execution flow.
• Define internal data models for order books, trades, positions, and state transitions.
• Build order lifecycle management, smart order routing, risk checks, and position tracking.
• Develop real-time risk systems covering exposure limits, kill-switches, and capital allocation across strategies.
• Implement treasury and funds routing logic, including venue capital distribution, internal netting, and collateral management.
• Collaborate with connector and research teams to optimize interfaces, latency, throughput, and market coverage.

Requirements

• Location: Amsterdam, with relocation possible.
• Experience designing and building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Strong understanding of event-driven execution, state management, and correctness under partial failures.
• Ability to optimize critical paths involving CPU cache, memory layout, and branch prediction.
• Experience with trading systems, order books, execution workflows, or real-time risk controls.
