Salary: $80,521–$97,180 annual target pay range; full range of $72,191–$112,914 annually.

What you will do

• Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll across multiple states.
• Review employee data, timecards, pay changes, new hires, terminations, leave, deductions, bonuses, reimbursements, and adjustments.
• Audit payroll reports and resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
• Process final paychecks in accordance with applicable state laws.
• Respond to employee and manager inquiries while maintaining confidential payroll records.
• Coordinate payroll activities with Human Resources, Finance, Benefits, and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least three years of payroll administration experience with knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Experience processing end-to-end multistate payroll and resolving complex payroll issues.
• Experience with payroll systems such as UKG, ADP, Workday, Oracle, or similar HRIS platforms.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, and data validation, plus payroll audit and reporting experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 and work full-time from the Houston office.

Nice to have

• Certified Payroll Professional designation.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations or upgrades.
