Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD base salary annually, plus discretionary bonus and equity incentives.

What you will do

• Support month-end and quarter-end close, including expense reconciliations, accruals, intercompany allocations, eliminations, and consolidation.
• Partner with FP&A to analyze expenses by legal entity, segment, and business unit, explaining variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Act as the Controllership contact for business unit stakeholders, validating allocations and helping leaders understand their P&L results.
• Own segment reporting deliverables and support SEC segment disclosures, ensuring allocations, eliminations, and source data reconcile accurately.
• Review capitalized costs, analyze service-entity results, and support acquisitions and internal restructurings from an expense-reporting perspective.
• Respond to audit requests and use generative AI, automation platforms, and data copilots to improve reporting and decision-making.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting or controllership experience, ideally including segment reporting or cost allocation.
• Experience with books and records for a bank or financial institution.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot-heavy expense analysis, datasets, models, and allocation waterfalls.
• Ability to translate cost and expense data into clear narratives for business unit leaders and collaborate across finance functions.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative, and comfort working in ambiguity within a fast-paced, multi-segment environment.
• Ability to work effectively in the New York-based hybrid arrangement.
