Reporting & Analytics Project Manager – Nelnet Financial Services

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, United States; hybrid work with in-office presence three days per week for associates living within 30 miles of an office location. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual compensation: $75,000

What you will do

• Lead reporting, analytics, and business intelligence projects for investment operations.
• Plan, sequence, track, and deliver cross-functional workstreams while identifying risks and gaps.
• Support deal onboarding by establishing data, reporting templates, performance metrics, and documentation.
• Build and refine processes for consistent project execution and reporting.
• Partner with Finance, IT/Data Engineering, and Investment teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Communicate project status, decisions, risks, and business value to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of project management experience, including independently structuring work in ambiguous or evolving environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Working familiarity with Excel, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, or similar data tools.
• Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for documentation, status reporting, and process drafting.
• Existing United States work authorization without current or future sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, finance, economics, data analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in structured finance, capital markets, reporting and analytics, or financial services project management.
• Knowledge of structured finance, asset-backed securities, and investment performance metrics.
• Interest in developing project management and data analytics expertise.
