What you will do

• Design detailed test scenarios and Gherkin feature files, actively participating in story refinement and backlog grooming.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Cucumber paired with Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Implement comprehensive test automation covering UI, service, and business logic components across cloud environments.
• Validate backend logic and data transformations using advanced SQL queries in Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing while managing the defect lifecycle via Jira and ALM.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software testing experience in enterprise application environments.
• Practical experience creating automated tests using Cucumber Gherkin with Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, and SQL.
• Ability to write and interpret complex SQL queries for cloud-based and relational databases.
• Experience with test management tools (OpenText ALM, Jira X-Ray) and API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
• Must be based in or able to work in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience testing high-volume financial domain or inventory management applications.
• Hands-on validation experience in AWS cloud environments and CI/CD DevOps pipelines.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or testing tools for optimizing scripts.
