Solutions Engineer (Fintech)

Location: United States, Remote

Salary: $160,000–$185,000 USD annually, including base

What you will do

• Own technical discovery for enterprise and strategic merchants, mapping their technology stacks, checkout flows, and constraints to suitable integration paths.
• Lead product demos, technical presentations, architecture discussions, RFP responses, security questionnaires, and solution proposals.
• Design and support integrations across APIs, SDKs, platform plugins, mobile applications, and custom commerce builds.
• Validate sandbox and production integrations, including checkout flows, widgets, messaging, redirects, handoffs, and settlement.
• Troubleshoot live integration issues with Support and Engineering while maintaining clear technical communication with merchants.
• Convert recurring merchant needs into product feedback and maintain documentation, runbooks, and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, implementation, solutions architecture, or technical account management.
• Experience with iOS and Android mobile SDK integrations, including guiding developers and debugging implementation issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise merchants through complex, multi-stakeholder integrations and custom commerce stacks.
• Hands-on knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one major e-commerce platform such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, or Wix.
• Understanding of cart, checkout, payment authorization and capture, refunds, shipping, product management, and payment-method integration workflows.
• Strong written communication, technical explanation skills, multitasking ability, and the ability to read code for debugging.

Nice to have

• Experience at a payments company, PSP, or BNPL provider.
• Familiarity with payment gateway architecture, alternative payment methods, in-store or omnichannel integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
