Director, Author Expertise & Success

Location: Remote within the USA. Applicants located within 45 miles of the Westlake/Dallas, Texas office should work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary: $148,200–$195,000 USD annual base salary, with potential bonuses and additional benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the Author Success & Engagement strategy and author value proposition.
• Create scalable programs that position authors as trusted voices with customers, prospects, and the technology community.
• Lead and evolve the Author Fellows program, aligning distinguished experts with business priorities and market impact.
• Build author communities, recognition initiatives, feedback mechanisms, events, and lifecycle experiences.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, Learning Experiences, and executive leadership to integrate author expertise into strategic initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of communications, community, creative, and technical professionals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in communications, community management, public relations, or a related field.
• 6+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Strong strategic communication, executive messaging, and thought leadership skills.
• Experience partnering across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership.
• Experience in a product organization and an understanding of the strategic value of content and human expertise.
• Strong understanding of technology and emerging trends, particularly AI, cloud, cybersecurity, software development, and enterprise technology.
